Tom joined AHDB in July 2022 as a trainee analyst on the Analyst Development Scheme. He has been an analyst within the Retail and Consumer Insight team since February 2024, and is tasked with analysing the latest retail and foodservice data to produce content on red meat and dairy consumer demand. He also works closely with consumer agencies and data providers to understand the most recent consumer trends and develop research projects. Through this he produces online articles, gives presentations, supports wider teams giving insight, responds to data requests and communicates closely with farmers and stakeholders to understand key issues the industry faces.
Tom is also part of the carbon markets team, building on his experience across the environmental sector, where he previously worked in the renewable energy industry as well as having experience looking at sustainable crop production and exports. Tom holds a BSc in Geography.
