Webinar: Sustainable worm control for youngstock

Past Event - booking closed

Monday, 04 May 2020

6:00pm - 7:00pm

Join AHDB Beef & Lamb and Lesley Stubbings, Independent Sheep Consultant, for a webinar on sustainable worm control for youngstock.

Monitoring and treating when necessary with an appropriate worming product is essential to protect youngstock and maintain growth rates over the coming weeks. Assessment of risk using Faecal Egg counts (FECs), managing pasture, knowledge of the parasites and their life-cycles along with their resistance status on your farm, are key elements of sustainable control.

The webinar will cover:

•    Monitoring risk and the benefits of good worm control
•    Choosing products and using them effectively
•    Getting the most from FECs
•    Grazing management as a tool for worm control

The webinar will last approximately 35 minutes, with time for questions at the end.

If you can’t make the webinar, please still register, as it will be recorded and sent to you afterwards to watch in your own time.

If you wish to get a certificate of attendance for your records, please email brp@ahdb.org.uk with your name and the name and date of the webinar you attended.
