Beef from Grass project meeting: Devon

Join us for the final AHDB beef from grass meeting, hosted by Bob and Liz Priest at Kingsford Farm near Holsworthy. They farm 180ha organically and run a spring calving herd of 60 suckler cows, selling youngstock as breeding females and finishing the remainder. They have been involved in the AHDB Beef from Grass project for the past three grazing seasons which aims to demonstrate how to improve grassland management on beef farms

Agenda 

This event will cover topics including:

• Making quality silage
• Growing and grazing herbal leys
• Maintaining good animal performance from grass and forage

It will also be a great opportunity to discuss the changes Bob and Liz have made and reflect on what small changes could make a big difference to your own enterprise.
