Pig Health Scheme assessments suspended

In light of the evolving situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the increased pressure plants and assessors are facing, we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend Pig Health Scheme assessments.

We acknowledge that, at this time, when there is a higher throughput and reduced workforce at plants, the roles of the official vets and meat inspectors must take priority over Pig Health Scheme assessments.

We will review the situation on a weekly basis and update the website once assessments can recommence.
