Fromebridge Mill, Whitminster, Gloucester, Gloucestershire

GL2 7PB

At our first meeting of the year, Claire Barber, our Welfare Officer, will be telling us about the changes that have been made to Defra's updated Code of Recommendations for the Welfare of Livestock, and what they mean in practice.

Claire will also be talking to us about swine dysentery and explaining how you can use our tail biting husbandry advisory tool (WebHAT) on your farm.

We will also be hearing from Geoff Newman of Natural England, who will tell us about the work they are doing with regards to ammonia.

Come along from 6.30pm, food will be served at 7pm

Our pig clubs meet regularly in the evenings during autumn/winter, providing commercial pig farmers with the opportunity to meet each other, hear from guest speakers and discuss topical issues. The meetings are relaxed and informal and, importantly, include an evening meal.
