AHDB Challenge Sheep: How to integrate sheep into arable rotations

Join us for this on-farm event with Challenge Sheep farmer, Richard Baugh. The AHDB Challenge Sheep project focuses on identifying ways of improving flock efficiency and profitability, which in Richard’s case involves grazing sheep on arable rotations.

Richard will be joined at the event by his project facilitator and independent sheep and beef consultant, Liz Genever. Liz will speak about the benefits of integrating sheep on arable rotations, with a focus on winter crops and replacement ewe performance.

  • Discussion on how to best integrate sheep into arable rotations
  • Managing cover and winter crops
  • Managing herbal leys and water quality
  • Replacement ewe performance, with a focus on managing ewe lambs
