The ‘what if’ factor is a question which tests how well businesses are prepared for the unknown, especially with the challenges which have been dealt in recent months. Contingency planning is an important part of any business and will help you to be able to react to a changing situation, respond quickly to allow business continuity, and recover the business to minimise potential damage.

During the recent coronavirus pandemic, the fragile nature of current supply chains has been highlighted and the resulting impact this has had on many farm businesses. While farmers cannot plan for every eventuality, consideration should be given to areas at potential risk, along with plans for how these can be mitigated to minimise the impact to the business.

Join AHDB and special guest Mark Blakeston for an insightful webinar where we will discuss various concepts relating to contingency planning, and advice on things you can put in place in your farm business, regardless of size.

The webinar will cover:

  • Give understanding of the importance and relevance of contingency planning in a farm business
  • Learn from outside of the industry how plans are developed to protect a business
  • Give farm owners/managers the confidence and basic tools to start developing their own contingency plan

Register now for this free webinar to help you to build a contingency plan for your business. You can still register even if you can't make the date and time, to receive a recording after the event.
