Profitable farming requires continued development and use of a wide range of skills. Good nutrient management is an important aspect of this and can contribute to business efficiency and reduce environmental impacts.

The Nutrient Management Guide (RB209) aims to increase the uptake and accuracy of crop nutrient management planning.

The guide explains the value of nutrients, soil and how good nutrient management can save money as well as help protect the environment.

Section 3 includes information on how to determine the nutrient requirements of grass and forage crops (grazed in-situ or used for silage, hay or haylage).
