Muck Free Truck campaign: Gloucestershire
Come along to this meeting and hear from AHDB's Lauren Dimmack, one of our Health and Welfare Officers.
Lauren will be talking about the importance the Muck Free Truck campaign, which is urging pig producers, processors and hauliers to ensure livestock lorries are properly cleaned. Launched by ourselves and the National Pig Association (NPA), in conjunction with other key stakeholders, the campaign is a response to the thread posed by African swine fever, which is causing huge problems in Asia and eastern Europe.
Come along from 6.30pm, food will be served at 7pm
Our pig clubs meet regularly in the evenings during autumn/winter, providing commercial pig farmers with the opportunity to meet each other, hear from guest speakers and discuss topical issues. The meetings are relaxed and informal and, importantly, include an evening meal.
