UK and India signed a free trade agreement (FTA) on 24 July, marking the first deal of this kind signed by the current Labour government. The deal aims to boost trade between the UK and India by cutting tariffs on 90% of tariff lines and reducing barriers to entry and therefore boosting market access, whilst committing to maintaining food standards for imports.

Global wheat futures eased last week (18-25 July), putting pressure to domestic prices. UK feed wheat futures (Nov-25) fell by £2.50/t (1.4%), closing at £177.45/t. Paris milling wheat and Chicago wheat futures (Dec-25) also saw fell of 3.2% and 1.5% respectively.
