Dairy expert needed to lead AHDB efforts in Scotland

Wednesday, 27 February 2019

AHDB is looking to strengthen its support to the dairy sector in Scotland by appointing a new Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager.

Currently Scottish dairy farmers work with Chris Stockwell, supported by AHDB knowledge exchange managers who are based in England, but work regularly north of the border.

The organisation is keen to build on the current activity it offers in Scotland, to ensure dairy farmers get the most relevant and informative support possible. The Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager will manage the Scotland Dairy KE team, represent AHDB on national industry groups and support the AHDB team with dairy sector insight and close contact with key industry and Government players.

AHDB Scotland Director Paul Flanagan explains: “We are looking to enhance our activities in Scotland so we need someone who can develop our wide-ranging knowledge exchange programme based on feedback from dairy farmers, the supply chain and other stakeholders.

“This will be a really exciting opportunity for the right person, someone who can see the bigger picture, who works collaboratively with partner organisations, but who can also take the lead in organising some of our key activities.”

Anyone interested in applying for the role can find more information in the careers section, the closing date is 10 March.
