It can be a stressful time, whether the disease is present on your farm or not. Therefore, it is important to have certain information easily accessible.
In such circumstances, all pig units should be able to contact relevant suppliers and the onward supply chain, and all staff should know what is required.

We recommended that you keep it up to date and review it regularly with your vet.
It should also be part of new staff inductions.
The Farm Animal Genetic Resources Committee (FAnGR) contingency plan may be more appropriate for keepers of rare breeds.
