Ian Ayling

Ian embarked on a career in groundsmanship as a young lad, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and brother.

He left school aged 16 and went straight into his first job at Harrow School, before moving to Uxbridge CC aged 17 where he stayed for 10 seasons.

Ian then spent a year in Hong Kong before returning to the UK when he took on his role at the then Twickenham Stadium, working for the RFU.
