Join us on Monday evening for the latest webinar in our Monitor Farm Mondays series and the last in our three-part 'Cost management at CropTec' series where we will be discussing the benefits of having pigs in your arable rotation.

At the start of his Monitor Farm programme in 2019, Gary Shipley wanted to grow and improve his business while reducing his impact on the environment. A year ago, he had started to investigate using cover crops in the rotation for soil benefits.

Join him and Anne to discuss his next step: adding a new pig enterprise to his farm's business portfolio. Using Farmbench, They will discuss the cost implications of using manure in nutrient management plans in the context of Gary’s farm, soils and rotation.

Can a pig enterprise in your business not only bring a financial reward but also improve your soil health and crop performance? Andrew Palmer will discuss the possible effectiveness of this approach and the importance of an integrated team approach.

How can we make the most of manures? We will consider the value of nutrients and organic matter and how best to use them, maximising their benefits whilst minimising their impact on the environment.

Can a pig enterprise in your business not only bring a financial reward but also improve your soil health and crop performance. Andrew will discuss the possible effectiveness of this approach and the importance of an integrated team approach
