Genetics can help build milk production as well as health and management traits into your herd and any decisions are cumulative, building over the generations.
Improved dairy genetic are estimated to have delivered £32.4million of benefit across the British herd in 2018.
AHDB are the independent source for genetic evaluations, breeding indices and analysis for all major UK dairy breeds.
Genetic evaluation publication dates
UK and International bull PTAs will be updated in line with internationally agreed Interbull release dates. The next ones are:
- Tuesday 11 August 2020
- Tuesday 1 December 2020
Cow results and herd summaries will be available the Friday after the bull release dates.
