Past Event

Friday, 28 November 2025

11:30am - 12:30pm

Explore the power of working together to unlock the full potential of you and your business.

We'll be joined by Adam Bedford, Collaborative Projects Director at Fera Science, to explore how working together can help farming businesses navigate uncertainty and thrive.

With a career spanning farm-level experience, leadership roles at the NFU, and now driving collaboration between farmers, scientists and the food industry, Adam will share how building partnerships and pooling ideas can strengthen resilience and unlock opportunities across UK agriculture.

Adam Bedford

Adam studied agriculture at Askham Bryan College and rural development at Newcastle University. He has worked on beef, sheep and dairy farms and has had a range of roles for the NFU, including Director of the British Agriculture Bureau in Brussels and North East Regional Director.

Adam has been the Collaborative Projects Director at Fera Science since June 2023, developing links between farmers, growers, the food industry and scientists to solve industry problems.

Outside of Fera, Adam chairs the management board of a large farming business in North Yorkshire and runs the Fieldwork Bookclub, an online book club for people interested in farming, food and the natural world.
