Profiting through grass: Low value calves achieving high returns

AHDB, LIC and BGS are pleased to invite you to visit the farm of Graham Parks and Pam Clarke to find out about their profitable dairy-beef production system, utilising low value calves.

Join us to find out about the system of buying beef calves from the dairy herd, rotationally grazing them, and finishing the cattle with minimum concentrates feeding.

10.30am – Registration

11.00am – Welcome and farm walk, hosted by Graham Parks, facilitated by LIC and AHDB

Topics to include:

• Calf rearing
• Management of calves at grass
• Rotational grazing and grassland management
• Selling the finished animal

13.00pm – Round up by BGS, followed by light lunch and opportunity to talk with trade sponsors.
