Monitor Farm Monday: Planning a fungicide strategy
Join us for the latest webinar in our Monitor Farm Mondays series, where we will be discussing planning a fungicide strategy.
Speakers: Jonathan Blake (ADAS), Tom Mead and David Hurst (Duxford Monitor Farm) and Tom Rees (Pembrokeshire Monitor Farm)
Host: Richard Meredith
In this webinar, three current AHDB Monitor Farm hosts join Jonathan Blake from ADAS who will lead a discussion of the options available when designing a funigcide programme, with cost reduction and yield response two key considerations.
This webinar will provide an independent assessment of fungicide performance against the economically-important crop diseases associated with wheat, barley and oilseed rape.
The key areas of discussion will include:
- Knowing your target diseases
- Using chemicals as the final part of the jigsaw
- Biological control methods
- Variety choice
- Drilling date
- Seed rates
- Timings of sprays
- Conversations to have with your agronomist
- Planning a roubust strategy
This webinar will last approximately one hour followed by a Q&A session and is free to attend, but please register using the 'Book Now' button. Following registration, you will receive a link to join the webinar so you can either watch live or catch up at a later date. BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending this webinar.
