Diss Monitor Farm summer meeting
Join us for our Diss Monitor Farm summer farm walk this June.
We look forward to welcoming you to discuss the season so far, have a look at the cropping for harvest 2021 on-farm and a discussion as we go round on:
- Nitrogen use efficiency and a look at the try-out that Richard has done this season with different products and rates – what is having the best effect so far?
- Fungicide programmes and strategies, including a look at the disease forecasting add-on to the weather station that Richard has had for this season – what has this shown so far? Has Richard used it to alter his programmes? How do these strategies match what you have done on-farm this year?
- Winter wheat establishment – look at the two establishment techniques (Carrier + Dale drill vs Grange low disturbance sub-soiler + Vaderstad) used in the winter – how are the crops looking now?
- Companion cropping and FYM use with OSR establishment and cabbage stem flea beetle presence – what has the most successful method been for this season?
An opportunity to discuss current topics, thinking and happenings at your local Monitor Farm – Richard and Teresa Meadows look forward to seeing you then.
