Environment Baselining Roadshow 2026

Join us on farms across Great Britain this June to explore the first results from the Environment Baselining Pilot and what they mean in real, practical terms for agriculture

This AHDB-driven initiative, with support from Quality Meat Scotland and Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC), aims to assess the environmental impact of agriculture using real data to measure the environmental position of 178 cross-sector farms across the country.

The series of on-farm events will bring the data off the page and into the field, showing how farmers can use baselining insights to make informed decisions that improve environmental outcomes and support progress towards net zero.

Whether you’re an baselining pilot farmer, a levy payer wanting to understand what the project means for you, or simply curious about soil carbon, emissions, trees, hedges and the wider environmental picture, you’ll find something useful and relevant to you.

Why attend

  • Understand what the early pilot results show
  • See real examples on real farms
  • Take away ideas you can use on your farm
  • Be part of the conversation with farmers and experts behind the work
  • Help shape what happens next

What you’ll learn

Across the keynote session and three field stations, you’ll explore:

  • The first baselining project results and what they mean
  • Carbon audit results: emissions and removals/sequestration
  • Soil carbon findings across different land uses and at different depths
  • Above- and below-ground carbon stocks in trees and hedges
  • What the results mean for the host farm and what improvements they are making
  • How data can guide your decisions

The events last for around four hours and are free to attend.
