Join AHDB and host farmers Mike and Pete Smith for the Environment Baselining Pilot (EBP) summer farm open day in Wales.

The EBP is assessing the environmental impact of agriculture using real data to measure the environmental position of 178 farms across the country.

This event will bring the data off the page and into the field, showing how you can use baselining insights to make informed decisions on your farm.

Whether you’re wanting to understand what the project means for you, or simply curious about soil carbon, emissions, trees, hedges and the wider environmental picture, you’ll find something useful and relevant to you.

The event includes:

  • Latest activity and results from the project
  • Introduction to Pelcomb Farm
  • Keynote presentation on the EBP
  • Three interactive field station talks
  • Refreshments and catering

Find out more about the EBP and what you will learn from this event

Third-generation dairy farmers Mike and Pete Smith run Pelcomb Farm, which covers 1,000 acres with 430 autumn calving dairy cows, plus followers and beef. The farm also has a weather station and a wind turbine meeting all farm requirements.
