Join AHDB and host farmer Rob Meadley for the Environment Baselining Pilot (EBP) summer farm open day in East Yorkshire.

The EBP is assessing the environmental impact of agriculture using real data to measure the environmental position of 178 farms across the country.

This event will bring the data off the page and into the field, showing how you can use baselining insights to make informed decisions on your farm.

Whether you’re wanting to understand what the project means for you, or simply curious about soil carbon, emissions, trees, hedges and the wider environmental picture, you’ll find something useful and relevant to you.

The event includes:

  • Latest activity and results from the project
  • Introduction to Meadley Farms
  • Keynote presentation on the EBP
  • Three interactive field station talks
  • Refreshments and catering

Find out more about the EBP and what you will learn from this event

Meadley Farms is an arable farming business in East Yorkshire extending to approximately 242 ha. The rotation, typically consists of a first and second winter wheat followed by either a legume crop such as vining peas or the SFI CNUM3 legume fallow action.

The farm was previously one of AHDB's Monitor Farms in the North East region. Carbon footprinting is a developing element of interest on the farm, particularly from a land-use change perspective.
