UK Dairy Carbon Network launches first open farm events
Monday, 2 February 2026
The UK Dairy Carbon Network (UK-DCN) is launching its first open meetings for dairy farmers, with a series of practical, on-farm events demonstrating ways to improve efficiency and profitability and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The events will be hosted on farms taking part in the project, offering attendees an opportunity to engage directly with the UK-DCN Farm Liaison team and see its work in action.
What will the events cover?
The events will focus on three main areas:
- Slurry and soils
- Youngstock rearing
- Silage
Through practical demonstrations, farmers will see how informed decision-making and small changes can make a big difference in real farm conditions.
Teaghan Tayler, UK-DCN Head of GB Farm Networks, said:
“The meetings are about sharing what can work on a commercial farm.
“Visiting farmers will leave with an improved understanding of how improving efficiency and profitability can go hand in hand with reducing emissions.”
The meetings are open to all farmers and will run from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Refreshments will be available.
