Laura Ryan new Chair of Traceability Design User Group (TDUG)

The Traceability Design User Group (TDUG), the cross-industry body set up to guide and advise the work of the Livestock Information Programme (LIP), has selected Laura Ryan as its new chair.

Laura’s appointment comes after a competitive process overseen by senior meat and livestock industry figures from TDUG itself.

Laura will formally take up the two-year appointment on 1 June 2020, moving into a post left vacant by John Cross, who took up the role of Chair of LI Ltd in February. Her background in the meat business continues the tradition, set by John, of industry expertise guiding LIP at all levels.

Laura Ryan said: “I’m delighted to have been selected by TDUG members to chair the group at such a vital time for our sector, guiding us through a period of strategic planning whilst introducing further global insight. “

AHDB Chief Executive Jane King welcomed the appointment, saying: “I’m delighted that Laura is going to continue her association with the programme. She’s known and respected throughout the livestock industry and brings an enormous amount of skill and experience to the role.”
