Find out more about your farm business strengths and weaknesses

Tuesday, 15 January 2019

Welsh farmers have the opportunity to join a local group of like-minded farmers confidentially discussing the physical and financial challenges they face.

AHDB is running two arable-focussed benchmarking groups in Wales, where farmers can learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

Richard Meredith, AHDB Knowledge Exchange Manager, said: “Benchmarking together is one of the best ways to improve your business and prepare for the challenges of the future. With Brexit approaching, gathering information and comparing yourself with others was found key to improving performance in a recent AHDB report.”

There are two benchmarking meetings in Wales: in Pembrokeshire on 24 January and in the Vale of Glamorgan on 21 February.

In order to participate in one of the groups, all farmers attending must have their figures collected and uploaded into AHDB’s benchmarking tool, Farmbench, prior to the meeting.
