Webinar: Looking at latest research requirements and intake of minerals on beef finishing units

Join AHDB Beef and Lamb and Andrew Schofield, farm vet, for a webinar on the requirements and intakes of minerals on indoor and grass-based beef finishing units. In the webinar we’ll explain how to do a mineral audit on your farm and the benefits of doing so.

We look at a minerals project, which assessed whether minerals are fed in excess on beef finishing systems. The study involved 14 finishers with different systems to assess whether a difference exists between cattle that are finished indoors and those that are finished at pasture.

The webinar will cover:

• Results from the farms involved in the study
• Where over supplementation and deficiencies are likely to occur
• How to do a mineral audit on your farm

The webinar will last approximately 35 minutes, with time for questions at the end.
