Webinar recording

This interactive workshop is designed for those who are already yield mapping and using software to know where their marginal land is, but would like to take it to the next stage.

Work with David Clarke, NIAB and Brian Barker, Strategic Farm East host to hear about the analysis taking place across the Strategic Farm East this year.  This is using cost of production and margin data, operations, soils, yields and wider information to delve more into higher yielding and lower yielding parts of a field and across the farmed landscape.

How do you define marginal land at the farm level?  How does this change with a changing climate, market prices, ELMS policies, biodiversity net gain and public goods?

Hear the principles of David Clarke’s cluster analysis and marginal land work and try this out on your own farm, as part of the interactive workshop.

You will be provided with the details as to how to go about this, using your existing resources and then be able to bring your findings for discussion with the group.

What opportunities can be taken to make your land provide the optimum economic and environmental return, both now and in the future?

BASIS and NRoSO points are available for attending/watching this webinar.
