International pig club: China
The next webinar in our series of international pig clubs takes us to China.
Throughout the pandemic we were all forced to find new ways of working. One of the success stories from this was the possibilities that virtual discussion groups and webinars offered. During one such meeting, not only was the concept of using technology reach a wider audience discussed, but also the opportunity it could offer to engage with and learn from pig producers around the world.
This webinar will enable us to connect you with and hear about the pork sector in China. From learning about their production methods, to genetics, marketing, public perceptions, health issues, government support and more.
We'll be joined by Michelle Hu, Deputy Secretary General of the China Meat Association.
Michelle joined the China Meat Association in 2007 as a project manager in the International Communication and Cooperation Sector. In 2009, she was promoted to Director of the sector and has since led communication with embassies and international meat associations.
Now the Deputy Secretary General of the China Meat Association, Michelle continues to lead the International Communication & Cooperation Sector and the CMA Importer and Exporter Branch as well as pushing for effective and targeted communication and cooperation among global partners.
You’ll be able to ask questions during the webinar itself, or if you can’t attend on the night, please submit your questions in advance. E: andrew.palmer@ahdb.org.uk
The webinar will be recorded and shared after the event.
