10:30am - 2:00pm

Friars Moor Livestock Health, West Stour, Gillingham, Dorset,

SP8 5SF

Join AHDB and Friars Moor Livestock Health with guest speaker Roger Blowey for a practical event that will help you understand how hoof anatomy influences cow mobility and how pathological changes impact recovery from lameness.

Lameness is expensive, requiring additional time and treatment costs. It also leads to lower yields and a shorter productive cow lifespan.

Roger Blowey has spent over 40 years involved with farm animal medicine, specialising in lameness and mastitis in dairy cattle. He is a well-known speaker both at home and overseas, the author of a range of scientific papers and several textbooks, including A Colour Atlas of Diseases of Cattle, Cattle Lameness and Hoofcare and The Veterinary Book for Dairy Farmers.

Please arrive at 10:30am for a 11:00am start for this event.

Lunch is provided.
