AHDB Beef & Lamb Monitor farmer, David Cross has recently established a new dairy beef enterprise, alongside Pathway Farming, and at this event he will talk about the changes being made on his farm.

Glovers Farm is a family run mixed farm of 360 ha, running 900 breeding ewes, which David is trying to integrate into his arable rotation along with the introduction of a new dairy beef enterprise.

James Daniel, from Precision Grazing Ltd, has been working with David on the project and will join us at this event to discuss the background to the new enterprise and update us on how the venture is going.

The farm event will focus on management and the practicalities of managing both cattle and sheep on the arable farm. David and James will lead discussions on grazing management and grazing infrastructure, including how to overcome water supply challenges and share tips on successful and effective electric fencing for temporary leys in an arable farm context.

This event follows a webinar hosted on 17 May that ‘set the scene’ to this topic.
