The first full calendar year where we have organic milk deliveries data puts overall volumes at 494m litres for 2021. We don’t have a full year to compare against, but from quarter 2 onwards the comparison with 2020 showed a similar trend to overall GB milk deliveries.
Compared with last year, volumes were:
- Up 2.3% in quarter 2 (Apr – Jun)
- Similar in quarter 3, up just 0.5% (Jul – Sep)
- Down 1.5% in quarter 4 (Oct – Dec)
Volumes have fallen away through November and December. With December 2021 volumes estimated to be 4.7% down on December 2020.
