Milk Every Moment campaign makes a splash
Friday, 22 November 2024
Our newly recruited student activators were out in full force at the recent British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) short course swimming championships, promoting the benefits of milk to young athletes.
Ethan Hamblett from Sheffield Hallam University and Freddie Ziegler from the University of Nottingham brought energy and enthusiasm to this high-profile event, which drew in over 1,700 athletes from more than 90 institutions for three days of intense competition.
The high-profile event featured Olympian Dan Wiffen and Paralympian Faye Rogers, both of whom won gold in Paris over the summer. Along with other athletes, Faye starred in our recent Milk Every Golden Moment campaign.
Ethan and Freddie captured engaging social media content for BUCS channels and spread awareness about milk's role in supporting health and sporting performance.
One of the highlights was the 'Split the M' challenge, which invited students to drink milk from a branded glass and aim to finish right at the halfway point of the 'M' in the logo. Participants who nailed the challenge were rewarded with Milk Every Moment campaign merchandise, including protein shakers and bucket hats.
The activity, which played on the viral 'Split the G' Guinness trend recently adopted by Jeremy Clarkson, was a huge hit with eager participants, creating fun, shareable moments for BUCS social platforms.
In addition to these activations, Ethan and Freddie engaged directly with attendees to highlight the benefits of milk as a natural source of nutrients for health and performance. Their efforts showcased the campaign’s goal: to empower the next generation by linking milk consumption to sporting success.
The event also featured Milk Every Moment branding prominently on big screens, ensuring the campaign’s message reached a wide audience of athletes and supporters.
This event marked the beginning of Milk Every Moment’s presence at key BUCS competitions. The campaign will continue to roll out at events such as table tennis and squash championships, cross-country meets, BUCS Big Wednesday finals and the flagship BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championships.
The Milk Every Moment campaign is committed to inspiring university and college communities by creating a positive connection between milk and athletic performance. With ambassadors like Ethan and Freddie leading the charge, the campaign is set to make waves across the student sporting calendar – because milk isn’t just a drink, it’s fuel for champions.
Keep an eye out for more Milk Every Moment activities as the BUCS calendar unfolds.
