In the week ending 11 March, the GB OSL liveweight SQQ continued its upward trend from the week before, rising by just over 4p to average 242.8p/kg. Throughput stood at 111,700 head, up 4,800 head on the week. Trade is reportedly brisk at the moment, with well-presented lambs attracting premiums.

In the week ending 7 March, the GB OSL deadweight SQQ plateaued, rising by just 0.6p to average 530.9p/kg. Despite this, the price is still around £1 above the same week last year and the five-year average. Estimated slaughter was up 3,800 head on the week at 208,000 head, with numbers still down on the same point last year.
