Beef has seen a 0.7% increase in volume sold in retail, in the 12 weeks ending 7th July 2024. Which cuts have been driving this performance, and what we can expect for the remainder of 2024?
The key results:
- Beef has seen a 0.7% increase in volume sold in retail, in the 12 weeks ending 7th July 2024, driven by frequency of purchase.
- Popular BBQ cuts, such as steaks and burgers + grills have experienced volume declines year-on-year, coinciding with poor weather in June.
- Mince continues to perform well, driven by both increased volumes per shopper and increased shopper numbers.
