The key results:

  • Beef has seen a 0.7% increase in volume sold in retail, in the 12 weeks ending 7th July 2024, driven by frequency of purchase.
  • Popular BBQ cuts, such as steaks and burgers + grills have experienced volume declines year-on-year, coinciding with poor weather in June.
  • Mince continues to perform well, driven by both increased volumes per shopper and increased shopper numbers.
