AHDB are recruiting new sector council members in 2024

People with experience in the UK livestock and cereals sectors are invited to join one of our sector councils. The deadline for applications has been extended for Beef & Lamb, Cereals & Oilseeds, and Dairy.
Sector council members play a crucial role in deciding what work should be commissioned for their sector and ensuring effective engagement between levy payers and AHDB.
Positions are available in the Beef & Lamb, Cereals & Oilseeds, Dairy and Pork sectors.
If interested apply by midnight on the following dates:
Beef & Lamb: Sunday 30 June 2024
Cereals & Oilseeds: Sunday 30 June 2024
Dairy: Deadline has passed
Pork: Deadline has passed
Responsibilities include:
- Attend sector council meetings
- Contribute to discussions to agree five-year strategic sector priorities for levy payers to vote on
- Engage with levy payers to seek feedback on their needs
- Ensure that the voice of levy payers is heard by AHDB
The role requires a commitment of up to two days per month, including attendance at sector council meetings (at a rate of £256.25 a day).
Appointments are for three-year terms from November 2024.
