Environmental scrutiny is increasing all over the world, and there is valuable learning from abroad. We took a farmer delegation to the Netherlands to learn from their experiences.

Join our livestream direct from farm to hear about how the Dutch have exploited the win-wins from their increased environmental regulation and how similar solutions could be applied in the UK in relation to air quality and ammonia.

You’ll hear from farmers who visited The Netherlands, see footage from their trip and learn about the research taking place in the UK right now.

Cheshire dairy farmer John Allwood will share what he learned from the Netherlands where ammonia regulations have reshaped dairy farming. He’ll be joined by a panel of experts, including:

  • Jack Watts – NFU supply chain expert
  • Rachael Madeley-Davies – AHDB Head of Environment
  • Paul Arnold – Catchment Sensitive Farming’s Air Quality Lead

They’ll explore current regulations, practical mitigation strategies, and groundbreaking research from Harper Adams University on cost-effective ways to reduce ammonia emissions on UK dairy farms.

This livestream will give you:

  • Practical solutions to reduce ammonia emissions from housing, slurry, manure, and fertilisers
  • Lessons from The Netherlands, where dairy farmers have adapted to stricter ammonia regulations
  • Expert insights on upcoming UK policies, supply chain expectations, and new research from Harper Adams University

There will be a chance to ask questions about why the UK industry needs to address these challenges and what you can do on your farm.
