Latest findings from AHDB crop nutrition research
This webinar will mainly focus on the results coming out of two AHDB-funded research projects looking to update N recommendations for spring barley and oats. The spring barley project features three years of trials located across England and Scotland looking at varieties, nitrogen rates and timings and sulphur rate. Dr Sarah Kendall will update on the conclusions and messages from this project, including discussion around quality.
Dr Sarah Clarke will provide an update on the NoatS project, which is currently ongoing and covers varieties, nitrogen rates and timings for winter and spring oats. The webinar will also cover the following opics, as well as late N applications for milling wheat and foliar nitrogen applications for OSR:
- Nitrogen & sulphur management for spring barley
- Nitrogen management for oats
- Late nitrogen for milling wheat
- Foliar nitrogen for OSR
