Join us for a webinar focusing on harvesting maize and feeding it to livestock. 

The session will feature a panel discussion with industry experts and experienced farmers, and are suitable for those who are new to, or experienced with maize.

You’ll hear from John Morgan of the Maize Growers, independent nutritionist Hefin Richards and Wiltshire dairy farmer Joe Carter who will cover:

  • Best practice for harvesting and ensiling
  • The do’s and don’ts of feeding maize silage to cattle and identifying goals
  • Balancing the whole farm forage needs in an environmentally responsible way
  • Feeding maize to a high-yielding dairy herd, protocols and the cost-benefits and risks.

This forms part of a series of three technical webinars looking at how, where, and when to grow maize; market options for maize, and when to harvest, how to ensile and how to feed maize to cattle. All webinars will be underpinned by environmental considerations and public perception of maize.
