Join Dr Awal Fuseini, AHDB halal sector manager, and Dr Phil Hadley, AHDB international trade development director, for a discussion about the importance of the halal sector and exports to the lamb market.

Awal will discuss what halal means, along with the current value of this market both nationally and internationally. He will dispel some of the myths around how the sector operates, giving confidence to farmers who want to capitalise on this growing market.

Phil will give us an insight into the importance of exports to our industry and how they are changing, highlighting existing and emerging opportunities.

This event will cover

  • Dispelling the myths around the word ‘halal’ and providing factual information
  • The vision into what the Halal market is looking for and how it will service the Muslim community of the future
  • An update on AHDB’s past, current and future exports work and the return on levy spent
  • What the exports market is looking for so that, as producers, you can meet demand with the stock you produce

This event is brought to you in collaboration with the National Sheep Association, Exmoor Hill Farming Network and the Sheep Group.

It is essential to book by Friday 29 September, for catering purposes.
