This year’s British Pig & Poultry Fair promises to be a landmark event for the UK pig industry, and we will be at the heart of it.

As the primary industry body that supports farmers and processors, we’ll be showcasing our latest research, insights and practical solutions that will improve productivity, sustainability and animal health across the pork sector.

Expect to see our innovative approaches to biosecurity, disease control and herd management, alongside market trends and best practice.

We’ll also be sharing our work on emerging challenges – including African swine fever, feed efficiency and environmental stewardship – demonstrating how evidence-based strategies help protect both farm profitability and animal welfare.

Our stand will be a hub for networking and knowledge sharing.

Come along and speak with experts, access free resources and take part in live demonstrations.

Day 1 highlight

The show gets under way at 9:00am on day one with a morning address on our stand from Mark Haighton, AHDB Pork Sector Director.

Mark will set the scene for the event, outline the key issues facing our industry and talk about AHDB’s priorities that are supporting the pig sector.

And to make sure everyone starts the day well, Ladies in Pigs will be providing bacon sandwiches.

Pig Forum Theatre

We're proud to support the Pig Forum Theatre at the fair, which will host a strong programme of focused, practical sessions across both days of the show.

Sessions will tackle some of the biggest topics facing pig producers, including:

  • 10:00am – Unlocking value: The global appetite for every part of the pig
  • 11:50am – Protecting pigs, protecting livelihoods: Industry approaches to African swine fever prevention and preparedness
  • 1:40pm – Beyond the Sunday roast: The recipes transforming perceptions of pork
  • 2:20pm – Three practical steps for protecting your farm from African swine fever

These sessions are evidence‑led, practical and consistently popular.
