Leamington farmer Rob Fox has been nominated for Farmers Weekly Farm Manager of the Year and Arable Innovator of the Year with the British Farming Awards.

Rob tweeted: “Flattered to be a finalist for this year's #BFA19. More recognition for just doing the job I love!”

Rob farms at Squab Hall, just outside Leamington Spa. He hosted an AHDB Monitor Farm from 2014 to 2017, and an AHDB Strategic Farm from 2018.

Strategic Farms put research into practice, testing out the findings from scientific trials on normal, commercial farms.

Farmers Weekly said: “In a drive for greater efficiency, Rob set up an arable joint venture with two other farms. He has also improved poorer land performance and engaged widely with others to share knowledge.”

Rob is up against three other farmers for the Arable Innovator prize and two others for the Farm Manager of the Year award.
