Cheese showcase in Hong Kong

Key influencers in Hong Kong recently took the opportunity to sample some of the best of British cheese at an in-person tasting event.

We delivered the ‘Great British Cheese Showcase’ at Roganic Hong Kong to a selected food professionals and chefs across the country who are looking to source quality cheese.

The event also resulted in a number of new enquiries for exporters looking to develop future business opportunities.

AHDB Export Manager Lucy Randolph, who organised the event, said: “The event was a great success with lots of questions. Everyone enjoyed the cheeses on offer but there was definitely a preference for more ‘sophisticated’ varieties.

“Asia is a vast and diverse region, offering a multitude of opportunities for dairy exporters. Hong Kong has seen rapid growth in the latter half of the twentieth century and now have matured markets with wealthy consumers and high spend.”

The ‘Great British Cheese Showcase’ is one of our many events held this year, targeting new and emerging markets in a bid to add value to farm businesses and continue boosting exports around the world.
