BGS and AHDB join forces to offer farmer to farmer mentoring opportunities
Better production and utilisation of grass and forage provides an opportunity to reduce costs and optimise profits on any livestock farm, and the key to success is to learn from other farmers’ experiences and expertise.
The British Grassland Society Grazing Mentors project, now supported by AHDB Grass, is going from strength to strength and is looking for new mentees to join the programme.
The BGS Grazing Mentors can help you to unlock the potential of your pasture. The one-to-one guidance on your grazing strategy is specifically tailored to your own farm.
The Mentors are experienced livestock producers and grassland managers, and will offer impartial advice on grazing management on your farm. They will help with goalsetting, planning and overcoming weaknesses in order to improve grassland efficiency. They have undergone specific facilitator training.
If you would like to receive mentoring from autumn to 2021 to 2022, then please get in touch.
