Wolverhampton Monitor Farm: Summer farm walk

Join us for a summer farm walk at Wolverhampton Monitor Farm, hosted by Jack Houghton, where we will look at the cropping for harvest 2024 with stimulating discussions around the season so far.

This meeting will cover

• We will visit the drilling and cultivation trials in the winter wheat, examining what has coped best with the wet weather
• The impact of the cover crop trials on the rotation
• Marketing decisions this season, the emotions that went with that, and what the market looks like now
• Resilience: mental, financial, business and marketing

Registration and refreshments will be available from 3:00pm, with presentations commencing at 3:30pm. A hog roast dinner will be provided.

This meeting is free to attend, but please book a place so we can organise catering.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for a field walk.
