Through a farm walk and presentations, you will learn about the on-farm trials at Strategic Cereal Farm Scotland and be able to ask questions of the host farmer (David Aglen) and research scientists.

This meeting will cover

  • Cover crops, spring barley establishment and biodiversity with Ken Loades (James Hutton Institute) and David Aglen (host farmer)
  • Adjusting inputs in response to crop monitoring with Fiona Burnett (SRUC)  
  • Optimising nitrogen applications with Steve Hoad (SRUC)

Visit our new exhibitor area to learn about new technologies, research projects and more.

We will be joined on the day by:

  • Farming and Water Scotland

Catering will be provided.  

This meeting is free to attend, but please book a place so we can organise catering. 

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.  

Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for a field walk.
