Norwich Monitor Farm launch meeting and farm walk

You are invited to join us for the on-farm launch of the New Norwich Monitor Farm.

We look forward to welcoming you to the launch of the new Norwich Monitor Farm with host Michael Balls. This will be an exciting opportunity to learn about the farming enterprise at the Crown Point Estate and head out on a farm walk.

Michael joined the Crown Point Estate as farm manager in 2021 managing a diverse arable enterprise to the south east of Norwich. He joins the monitor farm programme in 2023 and hopes to learn from others. Michael is keen to trial elements within the farming system and share his experiences.

What will this meeting cover?

• An introduction to the farm business, including cropping, agronomy and soils.
• A look at the machinery on farm discussing cultivation and establishment techniques.
• Cover Crops, Environmental Stewardship, Diversification.

Following the farm walk there will be an opportunity for those attending to feed into the programme at the very beginning of the Monitor Farm journey and identify topics of interest the attendees would like to cover in the upcoming winter season’s meetings and workshops.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 9:00am with presentations commencing at 9:30am. Lunch will be provided.

This meeting is free to attend, but please register using the 'Book Now' button so that we can organise catering.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.

Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for a field walk.
