Northumberland B&L Monitor Farm: Grazing for growth
Have you considered how you can make your grass work harder for you? Utilising pastures to their full potential is becoming increasingly important to help keep input costs, particularly feed and fertiliser, low. Grass is easy to grow, but hard to manage well. But getting grazing management right can offer improvements in productivity, performance and profitability.
But how do you get started? This meeting with Northumberland Monitor Farmer, Harry Sordy, will cover the fundamentals of pasture growth and grazing management. Attendees will be able to apply their knowledge to real life examples by using Harry’s farm as a case study example. Independent consultants Rhidian Jones and Emily Grant will guide attendees through the key aspects of managing grazing to help optimise the use of what is a low-cost feed.
Lunch and refreshments will be served so please advise us of any special dietary requirements.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event. Feel free to bring with you any questions you have about your farm and speak to our experts during the event. You can register for your fully-funded place by booking online, emailing KE.events@ahdb.org.uk or calling 01904 771218.
