Join us for a mobility workshop with David McCrea, Capontree Vets, to learn more about how mobility scoring can be an important tool for reducing lameness in the dairy herd.

In the morning workshop, David will cover topics including the benefits of mobility scoring, how to score your cows, and what actions you should take based on the score. We will also discuss what behavioural traits to look out for, how this relates to each score, and give you suggestions for how you can improve the mobility of your cows.

After lunch, we will head out to a nearby farm for a hands-on session where you will have the opportunity to practice mobility scoring and see a demonstration on the dos and don'ts of foot trimming.

At this workshop, you will:

  • Learn valuable information about the importance of mobility scoring and top tips for scoring your own herd
  • Gain hands-on experience and practice mobility scoring
  • Find out top tips for foot trimming

Please note children under the age of 16 and dogs are not allowed at the event, even if they are staying in the car. Click here to find out more about AHDBs health and safety guidelines for events.
