Searchlight Farm, Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough,

Have you been tempted to make more of the electronic identification (EID) tags in your flock but are worried that technology is not for you? Fear no more. Using EID is a lot easier than you might think and can make your job a lot more efficient.

This on-farm event is kindly hosted by AHDB Challenge Sheep farmers, Ian and Anna Wilson.

Ian and Anna have been part of the Challenge Sheep project for five years and have been collecting data using EID to identify ways of improving flock efficiency and profitability.

Joining them at this event will be their project facilitator and farm vet, Dawn Bowness. Dawn and Ian will talk through their journey of using EID tags in their flock and review flock performance over the last few years based on their collected data.

This event will cover:

  • Introduction to EID
  • Ian’s Journey into using EID
  • Run through of current EID equipment on farm
  • Software and data analysis

We look forward to welcoming you to the event. You can register for your free place by booking online, emailing KE.events@ahdb.org.uk or calling 01904 771218. Attendees must be over 16 years of age and suitable footwear must be worn.
