Cambridge Monitor Farm: Roots to efficiency
Join us for the next Cambridge Monitor Farm meeting of the season with host Matt Redman.
Our host will be joined by Philip Wright, from Wright Resolutions, and Tom Saunders, from Michelin Tyre PLC, to delve into essential topics, such as the significance of cultivation techniques and soil structure in achieving optimal crop performance.
Additionally, we will explore the impact of tyre design, pressure adjustments and their correlation with fuel consumption, shedding light on key factors for efficient agricultural practices.
This meeting will cover
- Cultivation: Exploring the various cultivation techniques and their effects on soil preparation and crop growth
- Soil structure: Investigating the importance of soil structure for crop productivity and its role in overall soil health
- Impact of tyres:
- Design: Assessing how tyre design influences traction, soil compaction, and overall field efficiency
- Pressures: Examining the significance of tyre pressure settings and their impact on soil compaction and fuel consumption
- Fuel usage: Analysing how tyre-related factors affect fuel usage in agricultural machinery and exploring strategies for fuel efficiency
Registration and refreshments will be available from 9:30am, with presentations commencing at 10:00am. Lunch will be provided.
